It's all about chaos theory, really. At its simplest, the tiniest pebble thrown into a lake causes ripples.

My goal is the enabling of others to make those ripples. That's the set of ripples that I want to make. What set fits you?

I appreciate the thought, but it's a bit early in the game for that sort of action. I have a lot of work to do and rules to make before I can really accept help with my goal.

In the meantime, there is something that you can do privately. It's admittedly a bit strange, but read on if you're in the mood to do some random good.

Part of my goal is to change the lives of large numbers of people while expending fairly little resources. While I'm no longer a student in the conventional sense, I do remember what it was like to be a student. These two concepts are related in a way.

Cutting to the chase, here's exactly what you can do: Give away new socks to local college students. Socks are relatively cheap (a dozen pair for under $10.00 USD if you shop around), but even relatively cheap commodities are out of reach for a good number of students. So, if you would like to see what Small Change Net is all about, I challenge you to purchase a few dozen pairs of new socks and personally distribute them to students on your local campus. They will look at you funny, and there's nothing wrong with that. Simply explain that you're trying to make a small change, and feel free to direct them back here.

You're not limited to this idea, of course. Feel free to create your own hairbrained scheme to promote some small change in your locale. Either way, if you're able, take pictures, make videos, and tweet about your adventure. Be sure to let me know how it goes. Good luck!
